1. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you access our platform and how you use it.

A. Information you provide us directly
We collect information that you provide to us directly, such as when you create an MBGS Global Connections account or contact MBGS for help.

We collect information you provide us, such as:
o Your Global Connection account information, including your email address, username, real name, country, birth date, school, and password;

o Information you provide in response to surveys on our platform; and

o Information you provide when you seek our help, such as your name, email address, and records of problems you experience.

 

B. Other Information We Collect When You Use Our Services
We may collect other information when you use our Services, such as information about your device, hardware and software, IP address or browser information.

We may automatically collect other information when you use our Services, such as:
IP address;

o Information about your device, hardware and software, mobile device identifiers, operating system type and settings;

o Approximate geolocation data (derived from IP or device settings);

o Browser information, including browser type and language preference;

o Referral and exit pages, including viewed pages and other interactions with web content;

o Details about your activities on MBGS Global Connection you acquire or obtain and how you use them;

o Device event information, including "Reasons why the user canceled the 'Match'" reports, request and referral URLs, and system activity details;

o Other information (such as user-posted files) that you may provide as part of your participation on the platform.

We may also collect and store information locally on your device using mechanisms such as cookies, web browser storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

C. Information provided to us by third parties

We may receive information from third parties, such as DNX Soluções Tecnológicas through the use of the MBGS Global Connections platform, when you use our platform.

D. Categories of personal information processed

Depending on the use of our platform, the following categories of personal information may be collected and the defined lifecycle is a maximum of 12 months and then deleted from our servers (such processing activities are defined by applicable privacy laws such as the Law of Consumer Privacy in Brazil Law No. 13.709):

o Identifiers; such as a real name, username, account name, email, online identifiers, device identifiers, IP address or mobile device identifiers;

o Approximate (rough) geolocation data; as location data derived from the IP address or device settings;

 We may collect additional information such as:

o If you participate in our User Experience Survey, we may collect information from your survey during the survey.

E. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on where you reside, we may have different legal bases for processing your information.

Our legal basis for processing your personal information varies depending on the type of information we collect and the context in which we collect it, as well as your country of residence, as indicated when you are setting up your MBGS Global Connections account or when not is connected an MBGS Global Connections account, its location as determined by its IP address and/or country of registration of its registration.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or a jurisdiction where similar legal requirements may apply, such as Brazil, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, we have a number of legal bases to process information about you. We will process information about you where we have your consent, where we have a legitimate interest in doing so, where we have a legal obligation to process your information. For example, we usually have:

o Consent by placing cookies on your web device (via our cookie consent manager) to send marketing email or to provide targeted advertising to you on our Services;

o Our legitimate interests in processing your information when providing you with customer service support, to serve the targeted marketing of our Services, for fraud prevention and security purposes; and

o About the need to process information when you create an MBGS Global Connections Account to allow us to provide our Services on the platform.

2. How we collect information

We use various technologies to deliver and measure the effectiveness of our platform to improve your experience as a platform user. These technologies include cookies and similar technologies, as well as analytics technologies.

We and third parties use the technologies described below to collect information to provide our Services through the platform.

A. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your Internet browser. We and our third party partner use cookies and similar tracking technologies to help us understand things like which web pages, features you view and what your interactions are on the platform such as using the 'Match' option. This information helps us to monitor, measure the effectiveness of our platform, ensure you improve your experience. You can disable cookies, limit the types of cookies you allow or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please refer to the guidance provided by your individual web browser if you would like assistance in managing your cookie preferences. We also offer cookie consent tools in certain regions to help you manage your cookies.

We also use analytics technologies in our platform services. These technologies may use the same cookies or similar mechanisms as described below.

Analytical Technologies

We use internal and third-party analytics technologies to collect information about how you use our platform, your computer or device, and the integrity of our Services.

For example, we may collect and store data from your computer or device when you use our platform. This information includes technical and related information about your computer or device and operating and/or network systems (such as IP address and device ID), information about your involvement with certain features, usage statistics, platform interactions for the purposes described in Section 3 below.

Third-party analytics technologies (Google Analytics) integrated into our platform may combine the information they collect in connection with your use of our platform.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to operate our platform, to improve your experience of our services, to provide customer support, to serve and measure the effectiveness of the platform, and to personalize our communications with you.

We use your personal information, both individually and in combination, in the following ways.

To operate our business and to enhance and customize your platform experience, including:

o Operate, improve and develop our platform;

o Undertake research and analysis to develop and demonstrate our technology and better understand our users;

o Help you find Match or platform service;

o Facilitate sharing on social media;

o Manage and deliver targeted and contextual advertising;

o Measure advertising effectiveness and distribution, including understanding who engages with our Services and how they interact with our Services;

o Measure the health of our Services;

o Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, misleading, fraudulent or illegal activities and prosecute those responsible for such activity;

o Set up and maintain the accounts you register with;

o Provides platform experiences you might like;

o Identify, fix and resolve bugs or functionality errors;

o Provides platform updates;

o Conduct audits, other compliance activities;

o Follow your preferences and deliver content;

o Help keep our services safe and fair, investigate and help curb fraud and illegal behavior, comply with the law, and enforce our agreements and policies; and

o Other purposes to which you consent are notified or otherwise disclosed to you when you provide personal information.

To provide support, including:

o Help identify and resolve issues with your account or Services;

o Facilitate surveys or questionnaires;

o Communicate with you and respond to your specific requests or questions; and

o Manage and send confirmations and important information about your account and services.

To customize our communications with you, including:

 o Present information related to the platform and/or services that you might like;

o Make platform or other service recommendations for you; and

o Provides service updates.

o We retain the information we collect for as long as necessary to provide our Services, and we may retain that information beyond that period if necessary for legal, operational or other legitimate reasons.

We may also de-identify, anonymize or aggregate the information we collect, or collect it in a way that does not directly identify you.

We may use and share this information as necessary for our business purposes and as permitted by applicable law.

4. Information we share with third parties

We do not disclose or share your personal information with third parties, except as described in this section, such as to provide our services.

Except as described below, we do not share, sell or disclose personal information to third parties (as these processing activities are defined by applicable privacy laws such as the Consumer Privacy Law of Brazil):

Service Providers. We employ third parties located in Brazil to collect or process personal information on our behalf for the purposes described in Section 3. These purposes include conducting market research, providing IT and related services, sending emails or delivering and optimizing our services. We require any third party to use data only on our behalf and for purposes consistent with this policy.

Disclosures to protect us or others. We may access, preserve and disclose any information we store associated with you to outside parties if, in good faith, we believe it is necessary or appropriate to: comply with requests for law enforcement or national security and legal processes such as a court of law order or subpoena; protect your rights, property, or safety from us or others; enforce our policies; or assist in an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual illegal activities.

Disclosure in case of merger, sale or other transfer of assets. In the event of a reorganization, divestiture, merger, sale or bankruptcy, we may transfer all information we collect to the relevant third party and we will obtain your consent to do so, if required by law or contract.

Cross-platform video sharing. To perform the 'Match'. Our platform allows you to connect and interact with platform members regardless of the operating system or display device you use. For example, someone wants to do a 'Match' with you from one PC and another using Apple. We call this cross-platform member-matching capability "Cross-Match". You can use Zoom, Skype, Google Meet among others.

 

With your consent. We may share information with third parties with your express consent, unless otherwise described above.

5. Where do we keep your information

We store and process your information in the Brazil where we operate. When we do this, we utilize technical, physical and administrative safeguards to meet the data transfer requirements defined by various privacy laws in Brazil.

The personal information we collect may be stored and processed for the purposes set out in this Privacy and Cookies Policy in Brazil.

 

6. How we protect your information

We use a number of security measures to protect and protect your information.

The security of your information is a priority at MBGS Global Connections and we take a number of technical and organizational measures to help protect it. Even so, be aware that no security measure is 100% perfect. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of your information at all times. You must always be diligent when it comes to protecting your personal information.

7. Your Choices and Controls

We offer you choice and control over the use of your information, including your ability to exercise your data privacy rights.

We offer significant choices when it comes to our collection and use of your information. For example, if you no longer wish to receive MBGS Global Connections emails, you can click the unsubscribe link included in the footer of any emails we send.

Your right to opt-out. You can deactivate your MBGS Global Connections account or delete personal information associated with your account by contacting us via this link (https://maplebearglobalconnections.com/contact). If you do, you will no longer have access to the MBGS Global Connections platform or services associated with your account. Please note that MBGS Global Connections may retain information necessary to protect our legal rights and comply with technical and legal requirements and restrictions relating to the safety, integrity and operation of our Services. Otherwise, we will retain your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide, create and improve our Services and comply with the law.

Your right of access. You can access the personal information we keep about you. You can download a copy of your MBGS Global Connections account information by visiting your account and clicking on the "Your MBGS Global Connections Data" tab. Your right to correction. You may request correction of your personal information where it is incorrect. Through this link (https://maplebearglobalconnections.com/contact), we allow you to update some of your personal information.
 

Your right to opt-out of or to object to certain processing. You may have the right to choose not to disclose, share or sell your personal information to third parties, if applicable, or to object to any processing of your data where such requests are permitted by law.

You may also adjust your browser settings to block certain online tracking technologies, such as cookies, as described in Section 2(A).

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these privacy rights.

8. Changes to our policy

This policy will be updated from time to time and we will notify you of material changes.

We may occasionally update this privacy policy. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the bottom or top of the policy. If there are material changes to this policy, we will use all reasonable efforts to notify you by prominently posting a notice of such changes before they take effect or by directly sending you a notice.
